Telehealth Certification

Currently, Cnow is partnering with the National Institute of Telehealth in exploring the development of an advanced telehealth research center that features a national accreditation program for persons interested in becoming certified in telehealth.  The concept envisions the institute being university-affiliated, supported with research grants, and staffed by professionals from the behavioral treatment, medical, education and IT fields. One of its primary objectives would be to develop standards for best practices in order to accelerate efforts to make telehealth services provided to persons with developmental disabilities reimbursable under vehicles such as Medicaid.
